Like Father, like Daughter

Yesterday, I picked the girls up from school and we headed home. Just like every week day. Except this time Caroline had a surprise waiting for me when we got home. A big surprise.

Caroline had been playing with the block-shaped keychain I let her have since she likes to chew on it so much. I heard her getting fussy so I thought she might have dropped the keychain. She seemed happier and started making cheerful sounds so I thought she must have reached the keychain.

We arrived at the house, I parked the car in the driveway and I let Reagan out. I walked around to Caroline's side and opened the door. I was confused because she had what looked like green peas on her face. She gave me a look like, "What? What did I do?" Then I noticed IT. IT was on her face, the keychain, the carseat carrier buckle, the carrier cloth belt, her clothing, and her legs. Poo. Green smeared poo.

Her father played this "game" when he was a toddler, except he smeared the poo all over walls and a spindle crib.

I said, "OHhhhh Caroline! What did you do?!?" I have a feeling we can look forward to fun times ahead with this one.

  3. It's a toss up between which is worse to clean up. Yours or the spindle crib and wall. I'm sure she had the same proud look that her daddy did. "Look what I've accomplished". At least the finger painting on the wall was a piece of art! Memories!
